VRS Hydroraft® is a combination of the proven modular highways foundation- Smartraft® integrating a product called “Hydrorock” to provide improved drainage systems on our highways where there is an interface with VRS systems.
Hydroraft® can be installed without as a load bearing drainage system installed without VRS.
Drainage interface with vehicle restraint systems can cause a multitude of problems, from filter drain contamination to “V” channels placed in front of VRS systems potentially changing the trajectory of errant vehicles with untested and unpredictable results.
VRS Hydroraft® has been designed to provide both a CD 377 complaint VRS system and efficient drainage in one compact solution, not only potentially taking up less verge space, but also reducing installation times, network occupancy and overall reducing carbon outputs.
Manufactured off site and ready for installation, this innovation is perfect for narrow verges or central reservations and can be used in soft or hard ground designs. Fast efficient and cost effective.
